Fastenal reported sales in August 2023 were $668 million, up 3.6% from the same month a year ago.

By geography, sales were up 3.2% in the U.S. and 9% in Canada/Mexico. They were down 4.7% in the Rest of World.
Heavy manufacturing (8.6%), Other Manufacturing (1.3%) and Other End-Markets (7.8%) all experienced growth. Nonresidential construction (-6.2%) and Reseller (-7.2%) saw declines.
Fasteners sales fell 3.8% in the month, but Safety and Other grew, 9.5% and 6.9% respectively.
