Republic National Distributing Company has appointed Marc Sachs as its permanent president and chief executive officer and finalized new financing with its lenders, the company said.
The RNDC board named Sachs CEO effective immediately. He had served as interim president and CEO since Oct. 17, 2025, and will continue as a member of the board. The appointment followed what the company described as a comprehensive search process.
Sachs has more than 30 years of leadership experience and two decades at RNDC. During his tenure, he advanced through senior roles, including vice president of supplier business development, where he worked on supplier partnerships and growth initiatives across sales, operations, and strategy. Before joining RNDC, Sachs worked in advertising and entered the beverage alcohol industry in 2005 with Block Distributing.
“Marc is a trusted leader with deep knowledge of markets, our partners and our people,” board member Richard Davis said in a statement, citing Sachs’ experience and familiarity with RNDC’s business.
Separately, RNDC said Jan. 16 that it had reached an agreement with its lenders to secure additional financing to support operations. The company did not disclose the size or terms of the financing. RNDC said the capital will support efforts to align its organizational structure, operational capabilities and portfolio focus to improve execution.
“We are pleased to have the continued support from our lending partners as we deliver against our priorities,” Sachs said in a statement. He added that the company remains focused on being a strong, profitable partner to suppliers and customers as it operates in a changing market.
RNDC is one of the largest beverage alcohol distributors in the United States, specializing in wine and spirits. The company operates within the three-tier distribution system and serves both on- and off-premises customers across multiple states.
