The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 0.2% in October 2024, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. Final demand prices rose 0.1% in September and 0.2% in August.

On an unadjusted basis, the index for final demand advanced 2.4% for the 12 months ended in October.
The index for final demand services increased 0.3% in October, driving the rise in final demand prices.
The index for final demand less foods, energy and trade services moved up 0.3% in October after increasing 0.1% in September. For the 12 months ended in October, prices for final demand less foods, energy and trade services advanced 3.5%.
