Excluding transportation, new orders increased 0.5%. Excluding defense, new orders increased 6.5%.
Shipments of manufactured durable goods in November were up 1%. This followed a 0.8% October decrease.
Unfilled orders for manufactured durable goods in November were up 1.3%. Transportation equipment led the increase.
Inventories of manufactured durable goods were up 0.1% in November, led by transportation equipment.
Nondefense new orders for capital goods in November were up 17.1%; defense new orders for capital goods were down 12%.
