Jergens Inc. Sells Distribution Division JIS to PT Solutions

Jergens president says company’s greatest opportunities lie in manufacturing.

Jergens Inc., Cleveland, Ohio, manufacturer of standard tooling components, announced the sale of subsidiary JIS LLC to diversified holding company PT Solutions, is formally completed.

“Today’s announcement is a bittersweet one, but marks an exciting turning point in the story of our family business,” said Jack Schron, President of Jergens Inc. “As we look to the future of this company, it is clear that our greatest opportunities lie in manufacturing.” 

JIS LLC was the distributing division of Jergens Inc, and in 2020 family shareholders reached a decision to divest from the distribution business and focus on growing the companies position in the manufacturing market.
