Wholesale Prices Rise 0.3% in November

The Producer Price Index rose 0.3% in November, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The index for final demand goods advanced by 0.1%, while prices for final demand services improved 0.4%.

On an unadjusted basis, the index for final demand rose 7.4% for the 12 months ending in October.    

Prices for processed goods fell -0.9% in November, while the index for unprocessed goods fell -3.2%. Prices for services grew 0.6%. Prices for final demand energy declined by -3.3%. Prices for final demand goods less foods, energy and trade services improved by 0.3% in November.  

For the 12 months ending in November, the index for final demand less foods, energy and trade services moved up 4.9%.
