Hills Distribution has partnered with Bender Plumbing Supply, a Connecticut-based distributor of plumbing, HVAC, and hydronic products, expanding its footprint in the Northeast.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Bender Plumbing Supply, founded in 1946 and headquartered in New Haven, operates six locations across Connecticut. The company distributes plumbing and HVAC products and operates showroom locations serving both contractors and homeowners.
Bender will continue to operate under its current leadership. President Max Bender and the existing executive team will remain in place and oversee day-to-day operations.
The addition strengthens Hills Distribution’s position in a key Northeast market and expands its network of contractor relationships. Following the deal, Hills Distribution’s platform includes Plimpton & Hills, Coastal Supply Group, RJ Murray Company and Bender Plumbing Supply.
The transaction comes as consolidation continues across the fragmented plumbing and HVAC distribution sector, where regional and family-owned distributors are increasingly aligning with larger platforms to expand scale, improve purchasing power and invest in logistics and digital capabilities.
Hills Distribution is backed by private investment firm Grove Mountain Partners, which has supported the company’s strategy of building a multi-brand distribution platform that retains local identities while integrating operations.
Bender, a fourth-generation, family-owned business, has built its presence in Connecticut through local inventory, contractor relationships, and showroom capabilities.
Hills Distribution said it will continue to pursue acquisitions and partnerships with plumbing and HVAC distributors across the Northeast.
