Chemical Ingredients Distributor Palmer Holland Appoints a CEO

Why This Matters to Distributors: Leadership changes at specialty distributors can signal shifts in growth strategy, supplier alignment and investment priorities in areas such as M&A, digital capabilities and sales execution.

Palmer Holland Inc. has named Tim Skufca chief executive officer, as the Westlake, Ohio-based specialty chemical and ingredient distributor reshapes its leadership team.

Skufca joined Palmer Holland in October 2025 as chief strategy officer, where he led strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. He succeeds Vincent S. Misiti, who has served as CEO since 2023 and will become executive chairman. Bryn Irvine, the current executive chairman, will transition to a senior director role on the board.

Skufca brings more than two decades of sales and commercial leadership experience. Prior to Palmer Holland, he was vice president and general manager of the U.S. wholesale business at Moen Inc., overseeing a national distribution channel and a sales organization of more than 200 employees. Earlier, he spent about 10 years at The Sherwin-Williams Co., where he served as national director of the company’s multifamily sales segment.

“Tim has demonstrated the leadership, strategic mindset and cultural alignment needed to guide the company forward,” Misiti said in a statement.

Skufca said he plans to build on the company’s existing strategy and expand growth opportunities. “Palmer Holland has a remarkable combination of industry expertise, trusted partnerships and an ownership culture that truly sets it apart,” he said.

Palmer Holland is an independent, employee-owned distributor serving markets including adhesives and sealants, paints and coatings, health and nutrition, lubricants and engineered materials across North America.

The appointment places an executive with experience managing complex distribution channels and supplier relationships at the helm, as specialty distributors navigate supply chain volatility, evolving principal expectations and increasing demand for digital access and service reliability.
