City Electric Supply Sales Rise 10% as Distributor Adds 20 Branches

Why This Matters to Distributors: City Electric Supply expanded sales and its branch network in fiscal 2025-26, with North American sales rising 10% as the electrical distributor opened 20 locations, hired more than 1,700 employees, and promoted more than 600.

City Electric Supply reported a 10% year-over-year increase in North American sales for fiscal 2025-26 as the electrical distributor expanded its branch network in the U.S. and Canada and added more than 1,700 employees.

U.S. net sales increased 9.33% from the previous fiscal year, while Canadian net sales rose 14.04%, according to CES. The privately held company did not disclose total sales in dollars.

Over the past five years, U.S. net sales have grown at a compound annual rate of 14.23%, while Canadian net sales have posted a five-year compound annual growth rate of 12.53%.

Dallas-based CES is a third-generation, family-owned electrical wholesale distributor with more than 5,000 employees.

“Our results from this fiscal year reflect the dedication of our team members and the relationships they’ve built with customers across North America,” Co-CEO John Gray said. “By empowering our branches to make decisions that best serve their communities, we continue growing while staying true to our values.”

CES opened 20 branches during the fiscal year, including 19 in the U.S. and one in New Brunswick, Canada.

The U.S. expansion included Puerto Rico and the company’s first Rhode Island location, bringing its footprint to 32 states.

The New Brunswick opening marked CES’ entry into its seventh Canadian province. The distributor said its Canadian network now extends 2,700 miles, from Vancouver Island on the West Coast to Halifax on the East Coast.

CES also expanded its workforce during the year, adding more than 1,700 employees across the U.S. and Canada and making more than 600 internal promotions.

CES also made several leadership changes during the fiscal year.

Blair Feidler, previously vice president of operations, was appointed co-CEO alongside Gray following the planned retirement of Co-CEO Andrew Dawes.

Feidler has been with CES for 29 years, while Gray has spent four decades with the company.

“I’m honored to step into this role alongside John as we build on our already strong foundation,” Feidler said. “I am excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue growing and expanding our capabilities.”

Rich Antonaros, formerly director of CES Online, was promoted to vice president of centralized branch services. He oversees the company’s fulfillment center network, ecommerce operations, CES One-Line Service and its upcoming Industrial Automation Solutions division.

Sharon Hong, chief communications and marketing officer, was promoted to vice president of communications, marketing, and learning, adding oversight of the company’s Learning & Development team.

Angel Andrews, formerly head of service operations, was promoted to regional IT director of North America following the planned retirement of Regional IT Director Nancy McConeghy.

CES also launched its One-Line Service in partnership with Siemens during the fiscal year. The service is designed to reduce lead times for panelboards and switchboards by moving projects from electrical diagrams to finished products in days. CES said the service operates with 99% accuracy.

The company is also preparing to launch its Industrial Automation Solutions division, which will operate under Antonaros’ centralized branch services organization.

The combination of double-digit North American sales growth, 20 new branches and additional service capabilities extended CES’ geographic and operational expansion during fiscal 2025-26.
