SRS Distribution Expands HVAC Business with Lohmiller Deal

Why This Matters to Distributors: SRS Distribution is expanding into HVAC distribution through acquisitions. The proposed Lohmiller deal follows its May acquisition of Mingledorff’s and would give SRS another Carrier-aligned distributor, this time with four locations in Colorado.

SRS Distribution Inc. has agreed to acquire Colorado HVAC distributor Lohmiller & Co., the second acquisition for an HVAC distribution business SRS is building under Home Depot ownership.

SRS said Aug. 10 that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Denver-based Lohmiller, a wholesale distributor of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, parts and supplies serving residential and commercial customers. Terms were not disclosed.

Lohmiller operates four locations in Colorado and employs 220 people. Founded in 1990, the company distributes Carrier residential, light commercial and applied HVAC products.

The deal follows SRS’ May acquisition of Mingledorff’s, an HVAC distributor in the Southeast. SRS CEO Dan Tinker said Lohmiller would be the second addition to the company’s new HVAC distribution platform. Both companies have established relationships with Carrier.

“Lohmiller and Mingledorff’s are both strategically aligned with Carrier,” Tinker said, adding that SRS plans to continue expanding in HVAC distribution.

The two transactions mark SRS’ move into a new distribution category. The company historically built its business around roofing and other building products, expanding through acquisitions and new locations before Home Depot acquired SRS in 2024.

SRS has continued making acquisitions since the Home Depot deal. Its 2026 acquisitions include Sider Lumber & Supply, LS Building Products and Mingledorff’s, according to the company’s acquisition history.

Lohmiller is owned and operated by Tim Brooks, Mark Brown, and Roger Lee. The three executives will continue to lead the company following the acquisition, SRS said.

Brooks, Lohmiller’s president, said the company expects to use SRS’ resources while maintaining its relationships with customers and employees.

Founded in 2008 and based in McKinney, SRS operates a network of local distribution brands with more than 1,300 locations in the U.S. and Canada. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Home Depot.
