Why This Matters to Distributors: Park Wiseway Supply Group has named a new CEO as the private equity-backed plumbing and electrical distributor continues to expand a regional business that has grown through acquisitions and new locations.
Park Wiseway Supply Group has named John Simmons CEO as the plumbing, electrical and lighting distributor continues to expand its operations across four states.
Simmons took over as CEO effective Sept. 21. He will lead a distribution business with 17 supply locations and six decorative plumbing and lighting showrooms across Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
Simmons most recently served as president and chief operating officer of Construction Resources, according to PWSG. Construction Resources’ current executive biography identifies him as chief operating officer and says he joined the specialty building products company in 2021.
Before joining Construction Resources, Simmons served as vice president at Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions, president of Express Pipe & Supply and president of Centerville Winsupply, according to Construction Resources.
Simmons takes charge of a distribution platform that has expanded through acquisitions and new locations under private equity firm CID Capital.
PWSG operates through five businesses: Park Supply, Wiseway Supply, Plumbers Wholesale Supply, Stearns Supply and Northport Electrical Supply. The company distributes electrical and plumbing products to contractors, builders, industrial customers and retail customers.
CID Capital has backed the business since 2021 and has used acquisitions to expand the platform. PWSG acquired Northport Electrical Supply, a full-line electrical distributor based in Northport, Alabama, in 2025.
CID said the Northport transaction represented the company’s fifth acquisition since its partnership with PWSG began in 2021. The deal expanded PWSG’s Alabama operations, which include locations in Athens, Pelham, Northport and Tuscaloosa.
PWSG has also expanded through new locations. Wiseway Supply opened a 24,000-square-foot branch in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, in March 2025, expanding its distribution operations into the Louisville market.
Bob Bender, president of PWSG’s North Division, said Simmons’ experience with private equity-backed distribution businesses was a factor in his selection.
Simmons said his priorities include investing in employees, strengthening customer and supplier relationships and expanding PWSG’s regional presence.
