December 2023 sales of merchant wholesalers, except manufacturers’ sales branches and offices, after adjustment for seasonal variations and trading day differences but not for price changes, were $670.9 billion, up 0.7% from November and up 1.6% from December 2022.

Total inventories of merchant wholesalers were $897.2 billion at the end of December, up 0.4% from November and down 2.7% from December 2022.
The December inventories/sales ratio was 1.34. The December 2022 ratio was 1.40.
