July 2024 sales of merchant wholesalers were $671 billion, up 2.9% from July 2023 and 1.1% from June 2024.

Total wholesale inventories were $903.5 billion, up 0.4% from a year ago and 0.2% from last month.
These revised figures exclude manufacturers’ sales branches and offices while adjusting for seasonal variations and trading day differences but not for price changes.
The inventory/sales ratio for the month was 1.35, down from the July 2023 ratio of 1.38.
