Driven Distribution Group names a Former NAPA Executive as CEO

Why This Matters to Distributors: Driven Distribution Group’s appointment of an experienced aftermarket executive with leadership roles at Genuine Parts and NAPA signals a stronger operational focus as automotive aftermarket distributors race to expand scale, integrate acquisitions, and improve distribution efficiency in a highly fragmented market.

Driven Distribution Group, a warehouse distributor of automotive aftermarket hard parts, consumables and accessories, has appointed Bill Westerman as chief executive officer.

Westerman had served as acting CEO since February after joining the company’s board as an independent director last year.

He has more than 30 years of experience across the automotive, manufacturing, transportation, and aftermarket sectors. His background includes engineering, sales, marketing, and manufacturing leadership roles at Volvo Trucks North America, followed by plant leadership positions at Tenneco Automotive supporting major North American vehicle manufacturers.

Westerman joined Genuine Parts Co. in 2004, where he served as a division president for 12 years before being promoted to chief operating officer of NAPA Auto Parts. Most recently, he was CEO and a board member at Road Tested Parts.

The leadership appointment follows recent expansion moves by Driven Distribution Group. The company recently acquired Quality Parts Warehouse, an 8,000-square-foot facility in Garland, Texas, extending its logistics footprint into the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The location will operate as part of the Eagle Auto Parts branch network.

Driven Distribution Group operates as a platform distributor that combines multiple automotive aftermarket brands under a centralized operating structure focused on distribution, logistics and regional market expansion.
