Why This Matters to Distributors: BlackHawk is expanding a Michigan branch acquired from Alro Industrial Supply in 2023. The move strengthens its local offering of industrial products, technical support, and inventory management services for manufacturers.
BlackHawk Industrial is relocating its Jackson, Michigan, operations to a larger facility to expand service to manufacturers in the southern part of the state. The industrial supplies distributor said the location will combine products, technical expertise, vendor-managed inventory, and supply chain services.
The company announced the move on Oct. 8. President and CEO John Mark said the investment supports BlackHawk’s local service capabilities and broader growth strategy, according to the company announcement reported by Industrial Distribution.
The relocation follows BlackHawk’s December 2023 acquisition of Alro Industrial Supply, which included operations in Jackson and Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Clearwater, Florida. That acquisition established the company’s Michigan distribution presence.
Tulsa, Oklahoma-based BlackHawk distributes metalworking and industrial supplies. Its services include inventory management, procurement, product sourcing, and tool reconditioning.
