Why This Matters to Distributors: Arrow Electronics is preparing to transfer leadership of its Global Enterprise Computing Solutions business to Rodney Clark, whose experience includes managing technology partner networks at major suppliers. The transition includes an advisory role for outgoing President Eric Nowak through March 2027.
Arrow Electronics has selected Rodney Clark to succeed Eric Nowak as president of its Global Enterprise Computing Solutions business as Nowak prepares to retire after 22 years with the company.
Clark is expected to join Arrow on Nov. 9, according to an Oct. 15 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Nowak will step down as president Dec. 31 and transfer his responsibilities to Clark, then remain in an advisory role until retiring at the end of March 2027.
Arrow said Clark brings global leadership experience in commercial operations, technology sales channels and business transformation. His background includes leading large partner networks and revenue organizations at Cisco, Johnson Controls, Microsoft and IBM, according to the filing.
The succession plan allows Clark and Nowak to work together before the leadership handoff. Nowak’s subsequent advisory role will support the transition through his departure.
Nowak notified the Centennial, Colorado-based company of his retirement plans Oct. 12. Arrow said he is retiring for personal reasons, with no disagreement over the company’s operations, financial statements, policies or practices.
