Motion Industries Inc., Birmingham, Ala., distributor of maintenance, repair and operation replacement parts and provider of industrial technology solutions, has agreed to acquire Thompson Industrial Supply.

The transaction is expected to finalize at the end of February 2025.
Thompson Industrial Supply brings two locations and 45 employees to Motion’s 550 branches and 17 distribution centers in the U.S. The distributor provides bearings, gears, reducers, motors, hydraulics, industrial automation and pneumatics, plus in-house fabrications and belt shop services.
