Why This Matters to Distributors: DXP’s growth reflects contributions from both established operations and recent acquisitions. Its pumping business generated the largest sales increase, underscoring the role specialized equipment and technical services can play in a distributor’s expansion.
DXP Enterprises Inc.’s third-quarter sales increased 14.3% as growth in pumping systems and contributions from acquisitions helped lift net income 24.2%. All three operating segments reported higher sales for the quarter ending Sept. 30.
The Houston-based industrial distributor reported sales of $587.2 million, up from $513.7 million a year earlier. Net income rose to $26.9 million from $21.6 million.
Sales from businesses DXP had owned for at least 12 months increased 8.7% to $538.3 million. Businesses acquired within the past year contributed $48.8 million in quarterly sales, compared with $18.4 million a year earlier.
DXP completed five acquisitions during the first nine months of 2026. CEO David Little said integrating those businesses, pursuing additional acquisitions, and generating cash remain priorities as the company prepares for growth in 2027.
Innovative Pumping Solutions led the sales gains, increasing 43.3% to $144.1 million. Service Centers, the company’s largest segment, reported sales growth of 7.6% to $376.6 million, while Supply Chain Services sales increased 5.5% to $66.4 million.
For the first nine months, sales rose 13.2% to $1.69 billion from $1.49 billion a year earlier. Net income increased 14.8% to $75.6 million from $65.8 million.
“We expect to finish fiscal year 2026 strong with momentum going into fiscal year 2027,” chief financial officer Kent Yee.
