Private equity firm Apollo Funds has agreed to acquire Univar Solutions Inc. (NYSE: UNVR) for $8.1 billion.

Univar Solutions is a specialty chemicals and ingredients distributor. The transaction, which takes Univar private, is expected to close in the second half of 2023.
