Why This Matters to Distributors: AD’s results show double-digit sales growth among its independent distributor members, led by pipe, valves and fittings and electrical products. Purchases from participating suppliers and distributions to members grew faster than sales.
AD member sales increased 15% from a year earlier to a record $89.6 billion during the first nine months of 2026. The member-owned buying group reported the results Nov. 2, covering 13 divisions across three countries.
Same-store sales rose 12%, led by 16% growth in the U.S. pipe, valves, and fittings division. U.S. electrical same-store sales increased 15%.
Member purchases from AD suppliers climbed 25%, while distributions to members increased 35%. AD did not disclose dollar amounts for either measure in the announcement.
Chairman and CEO Bill Weisberg attributed the results to the performance of member companies and their relationships with suppliers. AD brings independent distributors and suppliers together through purchasing programs and other business services
