SiteOne Acquires Reinders, Expanding Midwest Distribution Network

Why It Matters to Distributors: The deal reinforces that regional M&A remains a key growth strategy, especially for expanding geographic reach, technical capabilities, and customer relationships in fragmented markets.

SiteOne Landscape Supply has acquired Reinders, a long-established distributor of irrigation, agronomics, and landscape supplies, extending its footprint across the Midwest.

Reinders operates 12 locations in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, and Minnesota. The company serves landscape professionals with irrigation systems, lighting, and related supplies, and provides technical support and field services.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition strengthens SiteOne’s presence in a fragmented regional market and adds technical capabilities and customer relationships built over more than 150 years. Reinders will continue to operate under its existing name.

“This acquisition expands our ability to offer the full line of landscape supplies to our combined customers and enhances our market presence in the growing Midwest,” said Doug Black, chairman and chief executive of SiteOne.

Ann Reinders, vice president of operations, will remain with the business. Craig Reinders, chief executive, will transition to Spartan Turf Products, a separate Toro distribution business tied to the Reinders family.

The deal is SiteOne’s second acquisition this year, underscoring its ongoing strategy to expand into new markets and broaden its product portfolio through acquisitions.

SiteOne is the largest full-line wholesale distributor of landscape supplies in the United States, serving residential and commercial contractors focused on installation and maintenance of outdoor spaces.
