Danfoss has launched a new digital configuration and quoting tool for its power solutions distributor network, aiming to reduce manual quoting, improve accuracy, and expand self-service options for customers purchasing hose assemblies.
The tool, called Hose Assembly Pro, is powered by configuration technology from Intelli.Build and allows customers to specify compatible hose and fitting combinations online at any time. Distributors can use the platform to generate quotes in minutes, replacing processes that often rely on manual part selection and specialized product knowledge.
The system applies rules-based logic to prevent incompatible or unsafe product combinations, a common source of errors in hydraulic hose assembly quoting. Danfoss said the tool reflects a broader shift toward digital workflows in industrial distribution, particularly for complex, configurable products.
Hose Assembly Pro can be embedded into a distributor’s existing website or deployed as a branded subdomain. Distributors manage their own product catalogs and can limit online availability to in-stock items. The platform also includes analytics that track usage and demand trends, giving distributors visibility into customer behavior and product mix.
Beyond customer self-service, the tool is intended to reduce reliance on experienced counter staff by simplifying quote creation for newer employees. While the initial rollout focuses on hoses and fittings, the underlying configuration engine can be extended to other configurable industrial products with complex compatibility rules.
Danfoss said eligible distributors can request access to the tool now. The company will provide onboarding support, including training and co-branded launch materials.
Danfoss, a family-owned engineering company founded in 1933, employs more than 39,000 people globally and operates in over 100 countries. Its Power Solutions business serves mobile and industrial equipment markets, including hydraulics and fluid power.
