Suburban Propane Expands NASCAR Partnership to 21 Tracks Nationwide

Why It Matters to Distributors: Serving complex, high-demand environments such as major events are becoming a growth avenue for distributors with the logistics capability to deliver reliably at scale.

Suburban Propane Partners is expanding its partnership with NASCAR to 21 racetracks nationwide, broadening its role in supplying fuel and energy services for race-day operations.

The company said the expansion includes new events at Naval Base Coronado in California and a return to Chicagoland Speedway, extending its presence across additional markets.

Suburban Propane provides operational support during race weekends, including fueling track dryers used to clear rain, supplying concessions that serve large crowds and supporting campgrounds tied to multi-day events.

“The opportunity to support NASCAR at more than twenty tracks nationwide reflects both the strength of our partnership and the reliability that propane can bring to large-scale events,” said Nandini Sankara, vice president of marketing and brand strategy and spokesperson for Suburban Propane.

The addition of the San Diego event at Naval Base Coronado is part of NASCAR’s participation in activities tied to the United States’ 250th anniversary, the company said. The return to Chicagoland Speedway re-establishes operations in a key Midwest market.

Suburban Propane serves about 1 million customers across residential, commercial, industrial and government sectors through approximately 750 locations in 42 states.

The expanded partnership highlights how distributors are extending into large-scale event operations, where consistent supply and on-site logistics are critical.

For fuel and industrial distributors, the move points to growing demand in environments that require coordinated delivery, temporary infrastructure, and the ability to scale across multiple locations.

It also reflects how distributors are using national partnerships to secure recurring volume and expand visibility beyond traditional end markets.
