Grainger (NYSE: GWW), Chicago, Ill., a broad line distributor of maintenance, repair and operations products and services, reported sales for its fiscal 2024 first-quarter sales were $4.2 billion, up 3.5% from the prior-year period.

Profit for the quarter was $497 million, down from $508 million from the prior-year period.
High-touch solutions sales were up 3.4%; endless assortment daily sales were up 3.7%.
