Worksport Ltd. is placing artificial intelligence at the center of its U.S. distribution strategy as it prepares to commercialize a suite of clean-energy truck accessories and mobile power systems.
The company — a distributor and manufacturer of tonneau covers, solar integrations and portable energy products — recently announced an AI-integrated distribution center in Shreveport, Louisiana. The facility is designed to automate fulfillment tasks and reduce logistics costs while improving delivery times across the country.
Worksport has also expanded its Missouri operations into a vertically integrated hub where testing, assembly and distribution occur under one roof. The company said the move will support build-to-order manufacturing for its SOLIS solar-powered tonneau covers, streamlining the supply chain as the products reach the market.
Strengthening these logistics capabilities is critical to Worksport’s growth ambitions. Its active dealer network has risen 42% in the latest quarter, while B2B revenue has increased an average of 25% per month this year. The company’s gross margins have more than tripled since late 2024, a gain it attributes to scaling domestic production and selling more of its own branded products.
Worksport’s newest product, the HD3 heavy-duty tonneau cover, is already shipping to dealers and will soon be available direct to consumers.
Next up is the company’s biggest bet on advanced energy technology: a pairing of the SOLIS solar cover with a portable battery system called COR. Together, the products are designed to create a mobile nano-grid — enabling drivers to generate and store power directly from their truck bed, a concept that relies on intelligent power management and monitoring software.
In parallel, Worksport is expanding into home-energy solutions through Terravis Energy, a subsidiary developing heat-pump systems for extreme climates — a move that could open additional distribution channels in HVAC and residential energy markets.
With clean-energy products approaching market launch, Worksport is working to shift its identity from a traditional truck accessory supplier to a hybrid distributor of connected, AI-supported power technology. The company says its logistics foundation is now in place — but adoption and execution will determine whether its energy strategy can scale.
