Why This Matters to Distributors: A shrinking skilled trades workforce means fewer contractors and installers placing orders, and distributors that supply those trades will feel it in revenue long before the industry finds a fix.
SupplyHouse has launched the SupplyHouse Foundation, a new philanthropic initiative aimed at expanding access to education and career pathways in the plumbing, HVAC, and electrical trades.
The foundation will serve as the central hub for the company’s community investment efforts, consolidating scholarship programs, nonprofit partnerships, and workforce development initiatives under a single organizational structure. SupplyHouse is an online distributor offering more than 280,000 products for the mechanical and electrical trades.

“Our customers and the trades community are at the heart of everything we do,” said Kaylin Staub, president of the SupplyHouse Foundation and chief marketing officer at SupplyHouse. “The launch of the SupplyHouse Foundation is a meaningful step in deepening our commitment to giving back, supporting the people and communities that keep our industry moving forward.”
The foundation’s initial priorities include expanding the company’s Track to the Trades scholarship program, funding nonprofit organizations that support local trade communities and infrastructure and creating career pathways for the next generation of skilled trades professionals. SupplyHouse has established a dedicated foundation email and a landing page outlining its mission and programs.
Staub said the initiative reflects a long-term commitment to the industry. “This foundation represents a long-term investment in building a stronger future for the trades,” she said.
