Packer Fastener has opened a new distribution center near Indianapolis as the industrial supply distributor expands its Midwest presence and increases inventory capacity to support growing demand from construction, manufacturing and energy customers.
The nearly 40,000-square-foot facility in Lebanon, Indiana, will serve commercial contractors, manufacturers and fabricators across the region, with a focus on projects tied to data centers, renewable energy and power generation.
The expansion reflects continued investment by distributors seeking to position inventory closer to customers amid rising demand for industrial products and construction materials tied to manufacturing and infrastructure development.
The Green Bay, Wisconsin-based company said the facility will help reduce lead times, improve delivery speeds and strengthen supply chain reliability in a key Midwest manufacturing corridor.
“We’re expanding strategically to markets that are growing quickly to supply a more localized inventory,” CEO Terry Albrecht said in a statement. “That means our partners get what they need and stay on schedule.”
Indiana has emerged as a major hub for logistics, manufacturing and large-scale construction projects, attracting investments in data centers, energy infrastructure and advanced manufacturing facilities. Distributors have increasingly expanded warehouse and fulfillment networks in the region to support those projects and improve service levels.
Packer Fastener said the Indianapolis-area distribution center will provide local inventory and customer support for procurement teams, project managers and construction crews throughout the Midwest.
The company distributes threaded fasteners and industrial supplies, including anchors, suspension systems, abrasives, personal protective equipment, fittings and welding products. It also offers vendor-managed inventory, kitting, vending programs and ecommerce procurement services.
