Central McGowan, St. Cloud, Minn., regional distributor of gas supplies, welding equipment, beverage carbonation and CO2 and automation solutions, has merged with Minneapolis Oxygen (MO2), a Minneapolis-based provider of gas and welding supplies.

Central McGowan employs over 165 people at 11 locations across five states in the upper Midwest. MO2 employs over 50 people at five locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The move aims to strengthen their combined service network in the Midwest.
The companies, which were founded a year apart in the 1940s, will operate as usual under their respective names.
