Why This Matters to Distributors: The agreement underscores how distributors are using sponsorships and brand partnerships to expand market visibility and support customer engagement beyond traditional sales channels.
MSC Industrial Supply Co. has entered a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL), marking the distributor’s first involvement in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
Under the agreement, MSC will serve as the primary sponsor of driver Graham Rahal’s No. 15 car for one INDYCAR SERIES race per season, beginning with the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America on June 21. The company will also be a full-season associate sponsor and the team’s official industrial supply partner.
“This sponsorship with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing reflects MSC Industrial Supply’s shared commitment to innovation and precision,” Rich Bonfiglio, said MSC’s vice president of marketing. “RLL’s focus on performance and continuous improvement closely aligns with how we support manufacturers every day.”
The partnership is designed to increase MSC’s brand visibility and support customer engagement efforts, including strengthening relationships with existing customers and developing new ones, the company said.
RLL, which competes in the INDYCAR SERIES and IMSA sports car racing, is co-owned by Bobby Rahal, Mike Lanigan and David Letterman.
“We are thrilled to partner with MSC, whose tangible solutions align closely with our goals at Lanco and the RLL team,” Mike Lanigan, co-owner of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
MSC, based in Melville, New York, distributes a broad range of metalworking and MRO products, including fasteners and industrial supplies. The company offers more than 2.5 million products and employs more than 7,000 associates across North America.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season resumes April 19 with the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
