HPE Restructures Global Distribution Around Ingram Micro, TD SYNNEX

Why This Matters to Distributors: HPE’s move reflects increasing pressure on technology vendors to simplify channel operations and align with distributors that can provide global logistics scale, AI infrastructure expertise, and advanced digital commerce capabilities across multiple markets.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is consolidating its worldwide distribution operations around Ingram Micro and TD SYNNEX as the company is moving to simplify channel management and expand sales coverage across networking, cloud, and artificial intelligence products.

HPE said on May 14 that it selected Ingram Micro and TD SYNNEX as its two global distribution partners under a new unified distribution model intended to create more operational consistency for channel partners worldwide.

The restructuring follows HPE’s acquisition of Juniper Networks and signals a broader shift toward tighter channel consolidation in enterprise technology distribution, where vendors are increasingly relying on fewer distributors with global scale, logistics capabilities, and digital commerce infrastructure.

HPE said the new model is designed to increase investment in partner enablement, operational support and cross-selling opportunities across its networking, cloud, and AI portfolio.

While HPE said regional and specialty distributors will remain part of its channel ecosystem, Ingram Micro and TD SYNNEX will serve as the foundation of the company’s global distribution structure.

The company described the move as the next phase of its distribution strategy following the Juniper acquisition, which combined two large distributor networks and created an opportunity to streamline operations globally.

“HPE has always believed in the power of distribution to extend our reach, accelerate innovation, and deliver value to customers across the entire HPE portfolio,” Simon Ewington, senior vice president of channel and partner ecosystem at HPE, said in a statement.

The agreement also strengthens the competitive positioning of Ingram Micro and TD SYNNEX at a time when enterprise demand for AI infrastructure, networking and hybrid cloud systems is reshaping the technology distribution market.

Ingram Micro said it plans to support the expanded partnership through its Xvantage platform, which provides digital enablement, financing, and operational support tools for channel partners.

TD SYNNEX said the new structure will give partners a more consistent path to build and support HPE solutions globally while maintaining regional market support.

HPE said it will continue evaluating country-level distributor relationships in the coming months as it finalizes the broader global model.
