By pairing the acquisition of a major HVAC manufacturing business with the purchase of a large regional distributor, Bosch has gained greater control over both product development and customer access.

As Amazon continues opening its logistics infrastructure to outside businesses, distributors and manufacturers are gaining access to one of the largest transportation networks in North America.

“Data centers continue to gain momentum, and we are securing a steady stream of new project wins across multiple regions of the country,” CEO Mark Witkowski said.

Distribution center productivity increased more than 7% during the quarter, the company reported.

Keith Haskell, chief operating officer of New Castle Building Products, said the company’s growing delivery network and increasingly complex routes created a need for more centralized planning and dispatch operations.

For wholesale distributors, the May CPI report delivers a clear message: energy inflation has returned as a major business risk.

CEO Mark Witkowski said municipal demand remained healthy during the quarter, supported by repair-and-replace activity and infrastructure spending.

Uline said economic conditions contributed to the company’s decision and noted that it had extended leases at facilities in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.

The report suggests wholesalers are becoming increasingly confident in replenishing inventories after several years marked by supply chain disruptions, excess inventory corrections, and economic uncertainty.
