Buying group Affiliated Distributors (AD) reported Monday that member sales surged 25% year-over-year to a record $50.7 billion in the first half of 2025, driven by strong purchasing activity and continued consolidation across its network.
Purchases from AD suppliers rose 28% to $12.9 billion across the group’s 13 divisions in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Growth was fueled in part by the addition of more than 590 new members during the period—558 of them joining through the IMARK Electrical merger and 36 from other groups. AD members also completed 39 acquisitions in the first six months, including 20 fellow AD members and 19 companies outside the organization.
“The resilience of independents continues to stand out, especially in uncertain times,” said AD CEO Bill Weisberg in a statement, emphasizing the value they bring to supplier relationships.
