AlarMax, a national distributor of security, surveillance, fire alarm, access control, and audio-visual systems, has promoted Matt Ehrman to senior vice president of supply chain as the company works to strengthen its logistics and vendor network across the United States.
Ehrman, a veteran of the security, distribution, and retail industries, will oversee purchasing, forecasting, and vendor negotiations in his expanded role. Since joining AlarMax, he has led efforts to streamline procurement, improve lead-time predictability, and enhance product availability for the company’s dealer and integrator customers.
“Our goal is not just to meet demand, but to anticipate it,” Ehrman said in a statement. “Building a responsive, data-driven supply chain depends on strong vendor alignment, smart systems, and trusted partnerships.”
AlarMax president Scott Shelander said Ehrman’s leadership has improved operational efficiency and customer service. “Matt brings a deep understanding of what our customers need—and how to get it to them faster,” Shelander said. “His strategic approach and collaborative leadership make him an essential part of our growth plans.”
Headquartered in Pittsburgh, AlarMax operates 26 branches nationwide and runs a national fulfillment center supporting its distribution network. The company has more than 30 years of experience serving the professional security and integration channel.
