Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) announced its sales had risen 15% in the third quarter of 2022 to $127.1 billion, up from $110.8 billion in the same prior-year period. Net income was $2.9 billion, a decrease from the third–quarter results of 2021 at $3.2 billion.

Amazon’s North American segment increased sales by 20% year over year to $78.8 billion. International segment sales decreased 5% to $27.7 billion but increased 12% with the exclusion of changes in foreign exchange rates. AWS segment sales increased 27% to $20.5 billion.
