SB&F Fastener Supply, a well-established distributor of industrial and construction fasteners across the Upper Midwest, has officially changed its name to BFirst Industrial. The rebranding follows the company’s 2023 acquisition of Northern States Supply and reflects a strategic shift toward unified operations, expanded service offerings, and a renewed commitment to customer-centric values.
Founded in 1988, B&F Fastener Supply built a formidable reputation for reliable delivery of fasteners, industrial supplies, and inventory management services across Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. The rebrand is designed to better represent the company’s broadened capabilities, geographic footprint, and evolving role as a full-service industrial distributor.
“This rebrand represents more than a new name — it’s a reflection of who we are and where we’re headed,” said Nicole Baltes, president of BFirst Industrial. “By bringing together B&F and Northern States Supply, we’ve created a stronger platform with deeper capabilities. The BFirst name signals our commitment to being the first call for any industrial supply need.”
The name “BFirst” was chosen to emphasize the company’s mission to prioritize customer needs — to be first in service, reliability, and support. The company’s new tagline, “What you need. When you need it,” reinforces that focus, positioning BFirst as a dependable partner for industrial businesses seeking operational efficiency and supply chain continuity.
In addition to a new brand identity, BFirst Industrial is rolling out updated signage, marketing materials, and a redesigned website. However, the company emphasized that customer relationships, contracts, and service teams will remain unchanged.
BFirst offers a broad array of services, including vendor-managed inventory (VMI), vending machine solutions, custom packaging and labeling, and precision machining. These services are designed to support manufacturers, contractors, and industrial buyers in reducing downtime, streamlining procurement, and optimizing inventory levels.
The company employs 300 people and continues to operate out of its headquarters in Ramsey, Minnesota, with multiple branch locations throughout the region. Its expansion in recent years — both organic and through acquisition — has positioned it as a growing force in the industrial distribution space.
“We’re still the same team our customers have trusted for years, but now we’re operating under a name that better reflects our values and future direction,” Baltes added.
