Bishop Lifting has named Grant Garrett as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Garrett joins the Houston-based distributor of lifting and safety products as it expands its North American footprint. Over the past year, Bishop has added branches in Canada, Georgia, and Kansas through a series of acquisitions. The company now operates 45 locations and has completed eight acquisitions since partnering with Altamont Capital Partners in 2022.
Garrett previously served as CEO of M&D Distributors and has held senior sales and operations roles at FleetPride, HD Supply, and Harbor Freight Tools.
“I look forward to working with the team as we grow and expand our presence in new and existing markets,” Garrett said in a statement.
Founded in 1984, Bishop is one of the largest suppliers of wire rope, slings, rigging, fall protection, and other safety-critical lifting products in North America.
