Boeing has rolled its aviation parts and services channels into a single ecommerce platform, marking a major step in its effort to modernize and scale its global distribution business. The unified site replaces separate Boeing distribution and Boeing distribution services portals, giving customers one digital entry point to millions of parts, repair services and support tools across commercial aviation, business aviation, and defense.
The move reflects Boeing’s growing emphasis on distribution as a strategic business line, where digital infrastructure has become just as important as physical inventory. Airlines, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) shops and defense operators increasingly expect seamless ordering, real-time visibility, and consistent product data—capabilities that many legacy platforms were never built to support.
Over the past year, Boeing has overhauled key operational systems, including enhanced aircraft-on-ground response tools, a redesigned customer support model and a new enterprise resource planning system to unify data and streamline service. The new ecommerce platform builds on that work with AI-powered search for complex part identification, real-time inventory and order management, mobile-friendly access and a single login across all product categories.
William Ampofo, senior vice president of parts and distribution and supply chain at Boeing Global Services, said the platform is designed to simplify procurement and strengthen Boeing’s position as a preferred supplier in the global distribution market. Travis Sullivan, vice president and general manager of business unit Boeing Distribution, said the initiative is part of a broader integration effort focused on greater automation, tighter supplier collaboration, and continued improvements in customer experience.
The launch underscores a shift playing out across wholesale distribution: manufacturers and distributors alike are investing heavily in unified digital commerce systems to meet rising expectations for speed, accuracy, and transparency. In aerospace—where downtime can cost operators millions, those capabilities are now essential. Boeing’s new platform signals that distribution is not just a support function, but a core strategic asset designed to drive growth and efficiency across the company’s global footprint.
