Border States, Fargo, N.D., national distributor of construction, industrial and utility products and services, announced the promotion of area director Aaron Hughes to Mergers and Acquisitions Director, effective Oct. 1, 2024.

Previously, Hughes worked in various roles with Square D and Siemens. In 2015, he and Michael Mayworm purchased Advance Electrical Supply, which was later acquired by Border States. Since the acquisition, Hughes has served as the company’s area director for Illinois and Indiana.
Border States has more than 130 locations and 3,500 employee-owners across 31 states.
