Builders FirstSource Inc. (NYSE: BLDR), Irving, Texas, national distributor of building products and prefab components, has announced the appointment of Peter Jackson as president and CEO, effective Nov. 6, 2024. He will succeed Dave Rush who is retiring after 25 years at the company.

Jackson is currently CFO at Builders FirstSource and has been instrumental in its growth strategy, overseeing capital allocation, M&A and digital transformation. He’s been with the company for seven years.
“Peter’s appointment as the company’s next CEO underscores the board’s steadfast commitment to excellence in our leadership team and is the result of a thoughtful succession planning process. Peter is a dynamic and innovative leader who has had wide-ranging impact on Builders FirstSource,” said Paul Levy, chairman of Builders FirstSource’s Board of Directors.
Pete Beckmann, senior vice president for Financial Planning and Analysis, will become the company’s CFO. He’s been with the company since 1999.
Builders FirstSource operates 570 locations in 43 states.
