Cardinal Health Sales Down 4% to $55.3B in Second Quarter 2025

Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH), Dublin, Ohio, distributor of pharmaceuticals and medical and laboratory products, reported sales for its fiscal 2025 second quarter were $55.3 billion, down 4% from the prior-year period.

Net profit for the second quarter was $400 million, up 9% from the prior-year period.  

Sales for the global medical products and distribution segment were $3.2 billion, up 1% from the prior-year period. Profit increased to $18 million in the second quarter for this segment.  

Sales in the pharmaceutical and specialty solutions segment were $50.8 billion, down 4%. Segment profit was $531 million. 

First-half sales were $107.5 billion, down 4%. Profit was $816 million. 

Cardinal Health also announced it has acquired GI Alliance, a gastroenterology management services organization with 900 physicians across 345 practice locations in 20 states.
