CDF Distributors has launched a redesigned ecommerce website and a new digital configuration tool aimed at accelerating how contractors and building professionals buy commercial doors, frames, and hardware.
The platform, which went live Jan. 7, adds real-time pricing and visualization for custom door and frame configurations—capabilities that typically require manual takeoffs and multi-day quote cycles in the commercial door market. The company said customers can now design and price doors instantly, including custom dimensions down to one-eighth of an inch.
At the center of the launch is ProBuilder, an online configuration and quoting tool that updates pricing and product visuals as users select materials, finishes, hardware, frame types, and accessories. CDF said the tool replaces an offline quoting process that often depends on sales representatives and repeated revisions.
Wayne Foreman, founder and chief executive officer, said the investment reflects growing demand for faster, more transparent purchasing in construction-related categories.
“Our goal was to remove delays and uncertainty from commercial door purchasing,” Foreman said. “Customers can configure and price what they need in seconds rather than waiting days for a manual quote.”
CDF said the new platform required more than 20,000 hours of development and was built to support both desktop and mobile use. Contractors and facility managers can configure and order doors from job sites using mobile devices, a capability the company said reflects increased reliance on self-service digital tools in the field.
Chief operating officer Steve Kincanon said customers have pushed for greater speed and pricing clarity as projects face tighter timelines and cost pressures.
The launch places CDF among a growing group of specialty building-products distributors investing in advanced e-commerce tools that combine configuration, pricing and ordering in a single workflow. While real-time pricing is common in many industrial supply categories, it has been slower to take hold in highly customized products such as commercial doors.
Founded in 2011, CDF Distributors supplies wood, metal and storefront doors, frames and hardware to contractors, architects, and facility managers nationwide. The company has positioned itself as an early adopter of online sales in a category historically dominated by local distributors and manual quoting processes.
