City Electric Supply (CES) expanded its presence across North America over the past fiscal year, opening 36 new branches in the U.S. and Canada, launching its first Canadian fulfillment center, and promoting more than 200 employees into leadership roles.
The Dallas-based electrical distributor, part of the UK-headquartered City Electrical Factors, is now in its sixth consecutive year of growth in the region. CES also commemorated 25-year anniversaries at 11 long-standing branches, underscoring the company’s focus on localized service and community relationships.
To support its Canadian operations, CES opened a fulfillment center in Toronto—the sixth in its North American network and its first outside the U.S. The new facility is intended to accelerate delivery times to regional branches and customers.
“Toronto filled a key gap in our supply chain,” said Rich Antonaros, director of CES Online North America. “We needed a facility that could move products faster to meet growing demand in Canada.”
In addition to network expansion, CES strengthened its internal leadership structure. The company promoted 227 employees and hired more than 1,000 new team members across North America. Several senior leadership transitions also took place:
- Denton Muse was named general counsel of North America, following the retirement of global chief legal officer Meg Shockley.
- Sharon Hong was appointed chief communications and marketing officer for North America. She joined CES’s parent company in 2019 and previously served as global vice president of internal communications.
- Blair Cook, formerly training team leader, now heads the Learning & Development function after Janie Brown’s retirement.
- Nancy McConeghy took over as Chief Technology Officer, succeeding Rob Hodgson, who retired after 26 years with the company.
CES operates at more than 500 locations in North America and employs over 5,000 people. Company leadership cited a continued focus on sustainable, service-driven growth.
“We’re investing in the people and infrastructure that allow us to support customers more efficiently and reliably,” said Co-CEO Andrew Dawes.
With a new fiscal year underway, CES is expected to continue expanding its footprint while developing its internal talent pipeline.
