Core & Main Inc. has agreed to acquire Pioneer Supply, a regional distributor of water, wastewater, and storm drainage products, extending Core & Main’s footprint in Texas and Oklahoma.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
Pioneer Supply, founded in 1963, operates locations in Moore, Oklahoma, and Weatherford, Texas, and serves municipal, residential, and non-residential customers. The company supplies materials for water and sewer infrastructure projects across its markets.
Core & Main said the acquisition strengthens its position in two fast-growing states with ongoing infrastructure needs. The St. Louis-based distributor is one of the largest suppliers of water, wastewater, storm drainage, and fire protection products in the United States.
Brad Cowles, president of Core & Main, said Pioneer Supply’s regional presence and customer relationships align with the company’s strategy of expanding through acquisitions that deepen local market coverage while leveraging a national supply chain.
Pioneer Supply CEO William Dozier said the company will join Core & Main following the closure of the transaction, bringing its employees and operations into a larger organization.
Core & Main operates more than 370 locations nationwide and employs about 5,700 people. The company serves municipalities, private water utilities and professional contractors and has been an active acquirer as public and private investment in water infrastructure increases.
The companies did not disclose a closing timeline or say whether the Pioneer Supply locations will be rebranded after the deal is completed.
