DXP Enterprises Acquires Moores Pump & Services to Expand Gulf Coast Operations

DXP Enterprises Inc. has acquired Moores Pump & Services, Inc., a Broussard, Louisiana-based provider of rotating equipment and pumping system services, as part of its ongoing strategy to strengthen its footprint in the Gulf Coast region.

The deal, finalized on July 1, was funded with cash on hand, the company said. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1972, Moores serves industrial and energy customers along the Gulf Coast and reported approximately $10.3 million in revenue and $1.8 million in adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) for the 12-month period ending May 30, according to DXP.

“This acquisition complements DXP’s end markets and enhances a geographic region we have historically served,” said Kent Yee, chief financial officer of DXP Enterprises. “The transaction adds scale and capabilities to our rotating equipment division. We anticipate this acquisition to be accretive to earnings and further expand our presence in the Gulf Coast region.”

The Moores acquisition marks DXP’s third completed transaction for fiscal 2025. Collectively, the acquired businesses generated more than $37.9 million in revenue in calendar year 2024, the company said.

“We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Moores and welcome the employees of Moores to the DXP team,” said DXP CEO David Little. “With Moores, we continue to build on our strategy of providing a breadth of technical products and services on the regional and local level. These acquisitions are consistent with our growth strategy and demonstrate our commitment to expanding DXP as well as maintaining our leading position as the largest distributor of rotating equipment in North America.”

Moores will be integrated into DXP’s rotating equipment division, which focuses on the sales and service of pumps and related equipment.

Headquartered in Houston, DXP Enterprises is a distributor of industrial products and services across North America and select international markets. Its core business segments include service centers, innovative pumping solutions, and supply chain services. DXP provides maintenance, repair, operations, and production (MROP) services, with a concentration in rotating equipment, bearings, power transmission, metalworking, and safety products.
