Galco Industrial Electronics Inc. has acquired Ad-Tech CCI Inc., a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based distributor of industrial controls, automation components, and identification products, strengthening Galco’s presence and service capabilities in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands Galco’s regional product offerings and adds Ad-Tech’s portfolio of industrial controls, automation hardware, and identification solutions, along with value-added services that support panel building and manufacturing operations.
“Ad-Tech has built a strong reputation as a responsive, technically proficient distributor focused on helping manufacturers keep their operations running efficiently,” said Allison Sabia, president and chief executive officer of Galco. She said the combination of Ad-Tech’s technical expertise with Galco’s e-commerce platform, inventory scale, engineering resources, and repair services will allow the company to deliver a broader range of solutions to customers.
Founded in 1986, Ad-Tech supplies products including circuit breakers, programmable logic controllers, I/O devices, power supplies, relays, sensors, and terminal blocks. The company also provides custom labels and terminal markers used in identification and control-panel applications.
James Kiessling, president and co-owner of Ad-Tech, said customers will retain existing relationships while gaining access to additional products and services through Galco.
“Our customers will continue to work with the same knowledgeable people they know and trust, while gaining access to Galco’s expanded product offering, online tools, engineering support and specialized services,” Kiessling said.
Rex Rothrock, vice president and co-owner of Ad-Tech, said the combined organization will be better positioned to respond to customer needs and handle more complex applications.
Ad-Tech will continue to operate under its existing name and from its Harrisburg location, maintaining its current customer and supplier relationships. As part of Galco, the business will leverage Galco’s industrial distribution network, ecommerce capabilities, engineering support, and repair and field service operations.
Galco, founded in 1975, is a global distributor and service provider of industrial automation products, offering repair, field services and engineering solutions to OEMs, system integrators, and industrial customers.
