Genuine Parts Co. announced that Randy Breaux, group president of GPC North America, will retire in December. Breaux, who joined GPC in 2011 and previously led the company’s Motion Industries business, will remain in an advisory capacity through year-end to support the leadership transition.
Alain Masse, currently president and CEO of UAP Inc., GPC’s Canadian automotive division, will assume a new role as president of North America Automotive, effective August 2025. Masse will report directly to GPC chairman and CEO Paul Donahue and will oversee all automotive operations in the United States and Canada.
Masse has led UAP since 2015. During his tenure, GPC expanded its position in the Canadian market.
In his new role, Masse will manage the North American automotive parts business, including the NAPA Auto Parts brand. GPC’s North American automotive network includes approximately 6,000 NAPA Auto Parts stores and over 50 distribution centers across the U.S. and Canada, according to its latest annual report.
Genuine Parts also owns Motion Industries, a major distributor of industrial replacement parts. That business operates more than 550 locations in North America and has been integrated more closely with GPC’s automotive division in recent years as the company looks to centralize functions and leverage scale across its business segments.
GPC said the leadership change is part of a broader effort to streamline North American operations and improve cross-border alignment between U.S. and Canadian businesses.
Masse’s appointment marks the consolidation of regional leadership under one executive.
