Global Industrial Company (NYSE: GIC), Port Washington, N.Y., national distributor of industrial equipment and supplies, has appointed Anesa Chaibi as CEO. She replaces Interim CEO Richard Leeds, who will remain Executive Chairman of the Board.

Chaibi joins Global Industrial with over 30 years of operating and executive leadership in the industrial B2B space. She served most recently as Operating Partner and Chief Transformation Officer at Coalesce Capital Management, a private equity firm. She was also CEO and Board Member of CoolSys Inc., a refrigeration, HVAC and sustainable energy solutions provider.
She was an Industry Advisor to the Industrial and Business Services Group of Warburg Pincus and served as the CEO of Optimas Solutions, a global fastener distributor.
Chaibi also served as president and CEO of HD Supply Facilities Maintenance, an industrial distributor. She started her career at General Electric, where she held several managerial positions.
