The facility will add to the company’s 34 standard branches in Texas.
“Our goal is to ship next-day, complete orders. To do this, we need to have a broad range of products stocked close to our customers,” said Anand Lal, Grainger’s Group Vice President, Supply Chain. “Greater Houston is an ideal location given its geographical proximity to current and potential Grainger customers.”
Grainger aims to employ 400 people at the facility within a year of its opening, which is scheduled for 2026. It will be one of the company’s largest distribution centers in terms of square footage.
Grainger had 2023 sales of $16.5 billion.
