Grainger Reports Sales Up 3.1% in Second Quarter 2024

Grainger (NYSE: GWW), Chicago, Ill., a broad line distributor of maintenance, repair and operations products and services, reported its fiscal 2024 second-quarter sales were up 3.1% from the prior-year period.

Profit for the quarter was $490 million, unchanged from the prior-year period. 

Year to date, sales were $8.5 billion, up slightly from the year-ago period. Profit was $987 million. 

High-Touch Solutions-N.A. sales were up 3.1% in the second quarter. Endless Assortment sales were up 3.3% on a daily basis, driven by core B2B customers at Zoro and strong performance from MonotaRO with enterprise customers.

Amidst the backdrop of a slow, but generally stable demand environment, we focused on what matters and produced another quarter of solid results,” said D.G. Macpherson, Chairman and CEO. “As we look to the second half of the year, I’m confident in our ability to execute well and deliver results for all stakeholders.”
