Gross Electric has finalized a family succession plan that moves its electric supply division to fourth-generation ownership and leadership, creating a more defined split between its commercial supply and residential lighting businesses.
The supply division has been renamed Gross Electric Supply and will be led by Drew and Jason Gross. Drew Gross has been appointed president with responsibility for strategy, operations, and growth initiatives. Jason Gross will continue in outside sales, concentrating on customer relationships and business development.
Laurie Gross, who has led the business for more than three decades, will retain ownership and management of the company’s lighting showroom operations under the Gross Electric brand. Those locations serve homeowners, builders and designers across Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.
The company said the transition is intended to sharpen operational focus while maintaining continuity for customers. Gross Electric Supply will continue providing electrical and lighting products to commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Existing contacts, service processes, and support structures remain unchanged.
The move marks a significant milestone for the Toledo-based company, which has been family-owned for more than 115 years.
“This transition honors our family’s legacy and positions us for the future,” Laurie Gross said in a statement.
